Lyme Art Association invited young artists, ages 5 to 18, to interpret the beloved poem, “Hope Is the Thing with Feathers”, by Emily Dickinson. Artists were encouraged to delve into the rich imagery and themes of the poem, and respond by creating artworks that featured birds, flying, or other creative responses.
A Family Day celebration and award ceremony is on Saturday, July 13.
