J. Mane Gallery is pleased to present its 2nd H2O International Online Juried Art Exhibition.
“The heart of a man is much like the sea. It has it’s storms, it has it’s tides and in it’s depths it has it’s pearls too.”~Vincent van Gogh
Water is one of the most important elements for sustaining human life. We live on a water planet. It surrounds us, and we cannot live without it.
For this competition artists were encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of water; the sea, the lake, a stream, the rain. The artwork varied from realism to surrealism to abstraction. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best inspired art and photography. We had over 100 entries from the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
Each of our themed exhibitions, awards for First, Second and Third Place. The First Place winner for the 2nd H2O show is Kristopher Schoenleber for his photograph, Sunk. Kristopher’s interpretation of the theme and excellent command of the medium is what set his work apart. Kristopher is also the Featured Artist for the next four weeks.
Taking Second Place is Gaylord Mink for his photograph, Splash. Gaylord’s unique perspective draw in the curiosity of the viewer. And, Third Place goes to Michael J. Duke for his photograph, Mist On The Solvent. The creativity with the medium as well as his interpretation of the theme is what set Michael’s work apart.
Honorable Mention awards were given as well. Honorable Mention awards go to Wray Clifford for his oil painting, Beach Day, Lindsey Grant for her digitally painted photograph, Buick Rolls, Mathias Kunfermann for his photograph, Island 300, Joanie Landau for her photograph, Two Pools 1, Kasey Passaic for her oil painting, Starboard and Vasu Tolia for her mixed media baiting, Rhode Island Sunset.
