This contemplative, yet celebratory and colorful, exhibit features seven local artists and one guest artist from New Mexico. It brings together the rituals of the Catholic feast day, All Souls Day, and those of the ancient Aztec and contemporary Hispanic cultures. In these rituals and traditions, the dearly departed are prayed for so they can move to the next stage of their spiritual journey, and be remembered and honored by loved ones. This exhibit invites the viewer to consider personal loss, cultural and religious rituals and traditions, global social issues, and contemporary iconography and archetypes, like the very familiar calaveras (skulls), calacas (skeletons) and la Catrina (Lady of the Dead).

We invite you to celebrate with us and help us take down the exhibit in real time by finding a work of art that speaks to you, purchasing it and taking possession of it immediately! See it! Buy it! Take it! Proceeds from this exhibit helps support our local artists and benefits the National Ovarian Cancer Center (NOCC). We look forward to your visit!
