Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to announce Contemporary Realism a juried fine art exhibition featuring sixty-six works in Oils by forty-six artists selected by juror Max Ginsburg to be held Sept. 12 – Oct. 16 at Mills Pond Gallery in St. James. Juror Max Ginsburg selected artists from 11 states …CT, FL, GA, MD, MN, NC, NH,NJ, NY, OR and PA. Exhibiting Long Island artists represent 18 Long Island communities from Floral Park to Aquebogue. The exhibition celebrates the strength of Realism as an art form and provides a forum for our public audiences to experience the moving and original ways artists depict the world around them. The call for entries asked for representational oil paintings that captured realism through any approach or style.
