J. Mane Gallery is proud to present our Abstracts online juried art exhibition.

Abstract art doesn’t attempt to represent an accurate depiction of visual reality. Instead, it relies on shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to achieve its effect. In abstract art, the subject matter is often stylized, simplified, or entirely removed from its recognizable form. The emphasis is on the artist’s expression and interpretation of their subject matter rather than a faithful rendering of it. This style of art can evoke a wide range of emotions and interpretations from viewers since it often leaves room for personal reflection and imagination.

For this competition, artists were encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of abstract art. The artwork submitted varied from realism to surrealism to abstraction, and all media were accepted, including 3-D. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best inspired work.
