About the Artist
Throughout her practice, Pryor explores the intersections between marketing, commerce and the consumer along with the relationship of economics and capitalism to communities and culture. Pryor’s works offer nontraditional and semi-abstract depictions of aerial and ground views that evoke and reflect on contemporary topographies that explore the interdependence and connectedness within urban and natural environments. On view at Casita Maria Gallery is a selection of Pryor’s recent mixed media collages on panel, canvas and paper as well as site-specific installations that incorporate painting, printmaking and sculpture.
