Americana
Carrie Haddad Gallery
Jan. 25, 2025 - Mar. 12, 2017
Carrie Haddad Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibit featuring figurative wood carvings by John Cross, abstract drawings and mixed media constructions by Russell DeYoung, WPA style paintings by Arthur Hammer, and hyperrealist paintings of industrial machinery by Joe Richards. Linda Newman Boughton will exhibit new drawings of Civil War era portraits made solely with ball-point pen and photographer, Andrew Buck, will introduce a series of highly detailed quarry panoramas and rock face imagery in black & white. Fellow photographer, David Halliday, will feature selections of archival pigment prints that evoke the spirit of a forgotten, ‘old-town’, America. In the front room, Frank Litto, will have on view large wall constructions made of ultra-thin strips of wood to resemble three-dimensional wagon wheel sculptures juxtaposed again bicycle wheels and American flags. The exhibit will be on view January 25th through March 12th with an opening reception on Saturday, January 28th, 5-7 pm. All are welcome to attend.
