New York City – April 17th, 2016 – Spotteart.com, an online exhibition space for contemporary art & design, started its 2 Year Anniversary Online-Only Exhibition. Spring 2016 show features two international artists, Daniel Herce and Catalina Schliebener. Collections are available for purchase online from April 10th 2016.

Daniel Herce (b’57) is an abstract colorist who lives and works between Buenos Aries, Argentina and Barcelona, Spain. Daniel studied at the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon in Argentina. His career spans across 17 solo and 30 group shows, exhibited internationally. He attended workshops under masters like Elsa Soibelman, Armando Sapia and Gustavo Romano. For Spring’16 anniversary show Daniel introduces vibrant, many-hued acrylics on canvas. Daniel’s creative process has been compared to an alchemy and ancestral ways of creation – reducing visual artifacts to the infantile games, mitigating amorphous gestures to a tactile dimension. His series for SpotteArt explores chromatic sensibilities and striking textures. These paintings embody Zen-like qualities that incite contemplative perception and transform a viewing experience into a meditative journey.

Catalina Schliebener (b’80) is a mixed media artist and illustrator with a multi-location background. She lives, works and draws inspiration between two cities – Santiago, Chile and New York City. Artist received BA in Philosophy from University of Arts & Social Sciences (ARCIS) in Chile, where she later studied Visual Arts. Catalina has later worked as an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Art History. Her work has been exhibited in many solo and group shows across galleries, museums and art fairs in Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Lima, Belfast, London, Miami and New York. Catalina’s collage series for Spotte are directed towards an average observer. They advise to an existence of common sensibilities. Working with books, coloring pages and ink on paper, Schliebener’s objective is to draw out a sense of ambiguity from a familiar symbolism. Artist trivializes coded characters and imagines new scenarios where the visual aspect is not subservient to the constitutive discourse of the imagery.
