Lecture this Sunday!!
In the Fall of 1918, the United States army fought the biggest and bloodiest single battle in its history up to that point: the terrible Meuse-Argonne Offensive. The Yankee Division, including men from Somerville, were fully engaged in that battle. Prof. Dan Breen will tell the story of the Meuse-Argonne and the men who fought it, paying tribute to their memory as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
