In this Oil Painting Workshop for beginners and intermediate painters, we will explore the ‘secret’ on how to render transparent objects; you will learn how to translate objects that you can see through and those that you can see in and what makes them different from solid objects.
In those two days all students will paint the same still life set up with objects that will depict transparency and those that are solid. The ‘secret’ is in the ‘seeing’, how one translates the object through color, value, edges and perspective. It is much simpler than you think. This workshop will teach you all those principles and much more in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
Each student will receive individual attention and everyone will go home with a completed still life painting.
Since 1978, Angela Stratton has built an impressive body of work, exhibiting widely in the tri-state area and on the web. She is a prize winning artist whose Elected Memberships includes: Oil Painters of America; American Women Artists; Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and Salmagundi Club.
