Madison Museum of Contemporary Art presents The Singing Bird Room of Robert Lostutter. Taken from our permanent collection,of Robert Lostutter a leading Chicago artists of recent decades.

In the early 1970s, while visiting Mexico his love of nature led Robert Lostutter to explore a theme that came to define his future works. A draftsman and watercolorist, he started paintings of male figures masked with feathers of tropical birds or the petals of orchids. Lostutter’s creatures are beautiful connections of animal and human, nature and culture.
