The Greenwich Art Society announces its upcoming exhibition, Pushing the Botanical Boundaries, at the Greenwich Art Society Gallery, 299 Greenwich Avenue, 2nd Floor Rear, from June 2-27. Reception is Saturday, June 7 from 2-4p.

“Pushing the Botanical Boundaries” showcases five artists whose work pushes the scale or the scope of “traditional” botanical art and are students of Lauretta Jones who teaches Botanical Art and Illustration classes and workshops at the Society.

Jones says, “ My inspiration for this exhibition is three-fold: to demonstrate that botanicals are not necessarily small, delicate works by displaying larger scale works; to showcase bodies of work that display growing personal style, and to show the diversity that is emerging from our workshops!”
