Join American light artist Phillip K. Smith III and Professor of Art History at San Francisco State University Gwen Allen in a public conversation about Smith’s monumental installations on the occasion of the opening of Portals: A Space for Color, the artist’s first museum exhibition in Northern California. Allen specializes in contemporary art, criticism, and visual culture and has written extensively for Artforum, Bookforum, Art in America, and other publications.

Tickets are $12 for members & $15 for non-members, and include admission to the museum.

An opening reception for Portals: A Space for Color will take place that evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
