Cedar Rapids Museum of Art presents Marvin Cone: An American Master.

Marvin Cone one of Iowa’s most relevant artists produced a style that was very reminiscent of his good friend Grant Wood. A native to Cedar Rapids, Marvin Cone taught countless locals the painting process for over forty-two years. His work is a reflection of the area and many aspects of art in America. This large, 7-gallery exhibition attempts to revisit his work and influence on the Iowa area. This is the first major solo exhibition of Cone’s work since 1980.
