John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

The Permanent Collection of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art was originally built to house the collection of John Ringling’s masterpieces. Today works include paintings and sculptures by Rubens, van Dyck, Velázquez, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, El Greco, Gainsborough and more.
The European, American and Asian masterworks are exhibited in the style of Florence’s Uffizi Gallery, through graceful and monumental architecture that is unique to Florida.
The Courtyard of the museum features casts of renaissance sculptures, including the towering David by Michelangelo included are two fountains; Fountain of Tortoises, from Piazza Mattei in Rome, and the Oceanus Fountain, by Giovanni Bologna.
