The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to our upcoming exhibitions EXTRA : : ORDINARY and dis-PLACED: GENTLE DISQUIET.

EXTRA : : ORDINARY, featuring Noelle Garcia and José Santiago Pérez, explores work that uses traditional craft processes to transform everyday objects and materials into exuberant works of contemporary art.

dis-PLACED: Gentle Disquiet, featuring Tracy L. Templeton, is an evolving suite of prints on paper and textiles that balance elements of absence, journey and transformation. Influenced by the current refugee crisis, the series adds elements of nature to create an obscure world of beauty as well as a gentle disquiet.

Both exhibitions will be on display from February 22 – March 20, 2020 in the second floor galleries of the Evanston Art Center. A joint opening reception will take place on Sunday, February 23 from 1 – 4pm and will be free and open to the public.
