“An oxygen acetylene torch is very often misunderstood and under utilized in most shops. In this class students will be instructed in safe oxygen acetylene welding and cutting techniques as well as brazing, silver soldering and heating. Students will need welding goggles with a number 5 shaded lens and light welding gloves. If you have a favorite torch and hose, bring it along. No experience is needed but students should read and understand a basic instructional manual that comes with a torch set such as, “Victor Welding, Cutting And Heating Guide Set-up Procedures Manual 0056-0114”. Another excellent book on the subject that will make you a better welder and helped win WW2 is “Aircraft Welding” by L.S. Elzea.”
