Come see several new abstract paintings by Franz on November’s First Friday, November 7, 2014. Take in a new work called Rhombus, a 36″ x 48″ mixed media on gallery wrapped canvas, in Franz’s Neoplasticity style as well as several other new abstract paintings. Neoplasticity is in the movement of psychic automatism, which gives priority to the process, emphasizing impulse over premeditated composition. This involves the introduction of a main figural element as subject matter, painted with oils or acrylics, and fine detail added with pen and ink, creating a sense of shadow and movement, with hidden figures and symbols.

The gallery will be open on First Friday from noon until 7 pm. The gallery features a rotating collection of Franz’s paintings in a variety of genre and techniques. Both originals and open and limited edition prints are available. Franz will be present.

Nobody under age 21 will be admitted on First Fridays unless accompanied by parent.
