Curator Susan Futterman leads a walkthrough of Gustave Baumann in California, from Baumann’s portfolio In the Hills o’ Brown, for which he won a gold medal at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, to his strikingly picturesque Californian subjects. Along the way, Futterman highlights and discusses each step of the artist’s unique printing process.
