Here’s a fun way to spend an afternoon outdoors taking in the Shoreline’s vibrant art scene. Visit charming Essex Connecticut on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19 for the first Summer Outdoor Arts Festival on the Essex Town Green.
Located right in the center of this picturesque town, there will be painters, photographers, jewelry designers and fine artisans showing glass, metal, fabric and more! You’re sure to find the perfect piece of art or unique gift item for yourself or a friend.
Hosted by the nonprofit Art Center Killingworth and its gallery Spectrum Art Gallery and Store, the Festival is free and located at 12 Main Street, Essex. And again, it’s Saturday, June 18 from 10-5pm and Sunday, June 19 from 11:30-5pm.
And since Sunday is Father’s Day … it’s the ideal moment to experience this special day filled with art, great restaurant options and a stroll to the famed Essex marina and waterfront.
And just a 5-minute drive away from town, extend your visit at Spectrum Gallery and Artisans Store for a special exhibit of artwork created by the Festival artists just for this event. You’ll be glad you ended your day at this contemporary, light-filled space located at 61 Main Street in Centerbrook.
