Westchester Community College Center for the Arts Gallery presents…
This exhibition by mixed-media artist Rukhshan Haque explores the tension among states of isolation, observation, and fragmentation and the desire and longing to connect, piece, and create space. It involves the exploration of hand embroidery and photography and a dialogue between the two disciplines. Other mixed-media works will also be on view.
Exhibition runs from January 29th –March 30th 2018
Join us Saturday, February 24th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for a
participatory community art project: “Embroid-Me” As part of the reception for her solo exhibition, Interstice – Inter-stitch: The Space Between, mixed-media artist Rukhshan Haque is inviting the public to take part in the creation of a collaborative embroidery work titled: “Embroid-Me”.
No hand embroidery experience necessary. This event is FREE. Light refreshments will be served. The work will go on display in the gallery at the Center for the Arts for the remainder of the exhibition
