Join us for another season of First Friday featuring art, music, food, and local creative talent from 6-9pm. Marny Lawton is a painter working in the mediums of oil and egg tempera, painting nature and food that never spoils to help feed the hungry. More naturalist and painterly than romantic, for the last twelve years she has focused on the gemlike beauty of food, further developed in a recent artist residency in Italy. She looks for the meditative beauty in the ordinary, the extraordinary in the often overlooked. Her work has been shown across the country and collected internationally.
