Claudia Jaguaribe will give a talk on her perspective on contemporary Landscape Photography. Claudia has been photographing landscapes for almost 20 years and through her research, she has seen a great change in how nature is perceived and photographed. These changes are directly related to cultural perceptions and the environmental challenges we face and how we cope with them.
Claudia started out trying to secure a vision of unspoiled nature and now she feels we stand in a very different perspective and frame of mind. We are facing limits and transformations not seen before. Claudia Jaguaribe will show these different perspectives presenting images from 4 different series
Image Series:
Preservation and observation of nature – Quando eu vi series
Nature and the development of the city – Entre Morros series
The absence of nature obliterated by the city – Sobre São Paulo series
Creating imaginary landscapes – Jardim Imaginários series
