Concepts we think of as artistic – creativity, imagination, inventiveness, and inspiration – all of these are inherent to the scientific process. The artists in COMPOSED HYPOTHESIS individually investigate the contrast between art and science: organic vs. geometric, natural vs. mechanical, micro vs. macro. The imagery in this group exhibition blurs differences in scale, creating a profoundly confusing sense of place. This work bridges art and science, raising questions about how we interpret various points of view, the broader universe, and our place in it.
