The Avon Arts Association will hold its monthly meeting along with hosting an artist Demo by Art Scholz on Tuesday January 17, 2017 7:00 pm in Avon Town Hall, Building #1, 60 West Main St, Avon CT, 06001. The artist will demo with watercolors and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served during the meeting and the demo.

He will also conduct a workshop on January 21 from 9:30 am to 2 pm at the same location.
Workshop fee is $35 for members and $45 for guests.

Award winning watercolorist Art Scholz works in vibrant colors capturing idyllic seasonal New England scenes from coastal harbors to barns with wooded pastures. Originally raised in New York City and a student of the NYC School of Industrial Art, Art worked a long career in illustration and design including serving in the Air Force as a base artist. After retirement, Art moved to Tolland Connecticut and returned his focus on to watercolor painting. Rural scenes have long been close to his heart, and the countryside of New England is now his source of artistic inspiration.
