The Atlanta Photography Group continues their mission to celebrate, promote and develop photographic community arts with the 33rd Annual “PushPin Show”.
ATLANTA –The Atlanta Photography Group (APG) marks the 33rd anniversary of The PushPin Show, January 11th – January 25th, 2020, in the Atlanta Photography Group Gallery located at the historic Tula Arts Building, 75 Bennett Street, Atlanta, Georgia. A community party will open the exhibition on Saturday, January 11th, 2020, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The PushPin Show recognizes creative talent throughout the Atlanta photographic community and lens-based artists of all levels are encouraged to pin up their most creative, original prints at Atlanta Photography Group’s biggest outreach event of the year.
The PushPin Show is a juried event and will offer three awards; first, second and third place, as well as a People’s Choice Award for the work on display. Each award will have a prize, which includes credits for Atlanta Photography Group offerings such as workshops tuition, exhibition entry fees and membership dues.
“The PushPin Show provides exposure for artists at every level, it’s a fun, creative event that unites the Atlanta photographic community. APG has been a staple in the Atlanta photography scene since 1987” says Judith Pishnery, APG’s director.
January is the perfect time for Atlanta Photography Group to kick off 2020 with a party that allows artists to network and celebrates a full year of upcoming events.
The original Pushpin Show was created to be an inclusive, all photographic show that exemplifies Atlanta Photography Group’s mission to highlight, promote and develop community arts. The Pushpin Show brings together the diverse talents of Atlanta’s visual artists, and the public to bring awareness and support to local photographic art. The Pushpin Show is an annual opportunity to showcase one’s artwork in a gallery or to purchase a piece of art for a minimal investment.
