The Yale Center for British Art welcomes applications for its Residential Artist Awards, which are open to visual artists who are working in any field related to British visual and material culture. The deadline for applications is January 5, 2024.
These awards are intended to support the research phase of creative practice. Awardees receive a dedicated working space in the museum’s Reference Library and have access to the YCBA collection as well as galleries, museums, and libraries on the wider Yale campus. Studio space is not provided.
The award includes accommodation in New Haven and a living allowance, as well as covering travel costs to and from New Haven. Residency dates for successful applicants in the 2025 cycle may be held between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Awards may be held from one to two consecutive months.
