Working Pots III: a juried exhibition celebrating the functionality of ceramics. This year’s guest juror is Liz Pechacek, an artists working out of Minneapolis, MN. https://www.lizpechacek.com

Awards will be given for 1st-3rd, Honorable Mention, and Purchase Awards.

Last year’s winners, juried by Birdie Boone:

1st: Place Nicholas Danielson, 2nd: Place Vered Binyamini, 3rd: Place Luc Hammond-Thomas, Honorable Mentions: Chris Drobnock & Eric Heerspink, Birdie Boone Cup Prize: Kelly Justice.

Important Dates

Application Deadline – April 12

Accepted Work due – May 15 – May 29

Opening Reception – June 1

Show Dates – May31 – July 3

Eligibility

-Open to residents of United States and Canada

-Submitted work must have been produced in the last 3 years

Rules

-Enter up to three functional pieces or sets

-All exhibited work must be for sale

-Specific piece accepted must be available for the entire exhibition

-Work will be disqualified if it is not the same piece that was accepted

-Work must arrive between the dates of May 15 – May 29

-You must ship with Fed Ex

-Include a check with return shipping (if your piece sells we will void the check)

-$30 for up to 3 pieces, Non-refundable

Shipping & Insurance

-The artist is responsible for shipping and insurance to and from the exhibition. The gallery will be responsible for insurance during the exhibition.

-You must ship with Fed Ex
-Include a check with return shipping (if your piece sells we will void the check)

-Do not use packing peanuts

Digital Image Requirements

-Submit images via e-mail to [email protected]
-Submit up to two images of the piece you are entering
– The Jpg should have a resolution of 72 to 300 dpi
-Digital image size should be 1920 pixels on the long side and a maximum file size of 3 megabytes

– The image should be labeled with your last name and entry number. Example:Eddings_1.jpg
– James May Gallery reserves the rights to photograph works and use submitted digitalimages of accepted pieces for the purposes of education, documentation, publicity, andpromotion.
