Artists of the Triad and Beyond!

Geeksboro will be hosting a Wes Anderson themed Art Show, inspired by the director’s whimsical films, characters, and style! His films include such beloved favorites as The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Bottle Rocket, The Darjeeling Limited, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

We invite all artists to participate by submitting original works as well as high quality art prints inspired by these characters, films, and ideas. All submissions must be delivered to Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema no later than 11 p.m. Thursday, August 20th.

GUIDELINES:

-All works must be original 2-dimensional pieces, and completed in the last two years.

– Allowed Mediums: Oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, pastel, graphite, pencil, ink, digital, and mixed media. Works can range from representational to abstract art. Media specifically excluded are sculpture and video artworks.

– All works must be submitted on hangable canvases or frames.

-All works must be submitted by the actual artist who created the piece.

– All submissions must include the following information:

Name of Artist:
Price: (If art is not for sale, simply mark NFS)

-Art pieces sold will be charged a 20% commission rate.

-Geeksboro is not responsible for any accidental damages or stolen artworks.

-Submitted pieces will debut for the WES FEST 2015 Art Show, featuring Natalie Andrewson on Saturday, September 12.
