The Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery, presents, Transitions, our 2014 Fall Juried Exhibition. This year, we are excited to announce that Lyz Wendland will be our guest juror for this exhibition. We invite artists from all over, working in all mediums, to submit artwork to be juried into this exhibition. There is no particular theme for this show, and please note that artwork does not need to be “Fall related”. This group exhibition will be on display in our back gallery space throughout the month of October.

Lyz Wendland is a mixed media artist, who received her BFA in Drawing, Painting and Art History from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her MFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her artwork has been included in many exhibitions throughout Minnesota and other states, most recently, her solo exhibition “The Suburban Line Project”, that took place in May of this year, at Phipps Center for the Arts, in Hudson, Wisconsin. Wendland received a “Jerome Fibers Grant” in 2009 and an “Excellence in Teaching and Learning Grant” in 2013 through the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Currently, she teaches drawing, painting and design courses at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.
