The Grand American Fish Rodeo Festival is produced by the Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art (MICA), a 501c3 non-profit organization. This festival celebrates Michigan’s art, culture and waterways. The Plein Air Painters will be painting along the bank of the Grand River at the Adado Riverfront Park. Artists will be required to bring their own easels and supplies. After the work is completed, it will be put up for sale at the festival in a silent auction; the proceeds will be divided with 50% going to the artist and 50% going to MICA to support it’s free community art programming.

The artists will receive a free t-shirt, free entry into the Biergarten (beverage tent) and will have free parking at the festival in addition to 50% of the proceeds of the work that is created and sold.

Those interested should contact MICA Gallery at: 517-371-4600 or [email protected], please put “Plein Air Painting” in the subject line and include 3 images of your work.
