RECYCLE, the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition’s national juried show of art crafted from cast-off, discarded, and re-purposed materials, will be a celebration of ingenuity and imagination. We are seeking to exhibit sophisticated two- and three-dimensional art created in the re-use genre. We are privileged to have as our juror, Elissa Goldstone, Director of Exhibits at NYC’s Socrates Sculpture Park.

BWAC is seeking original artwork from artists working in repurposed materials. Entries must incorporate at least 50 percent of repurposed, recycled, or reused materials.

Call to Artists for Submissions:
Submission Deadline: Early Bird March 8th or Final Application Deadline March 22, 2016.
Gallery Exhibition Dates: May 7 – June 12, 2016 weekends 1-6 P.M.
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 1-6 P.M.

BEST of SHOW: $1000
MOST INNOVATIVE USE OF MATERIAL: $500
PEOPLES’ CHOICE: $250
CURATOR’S CHOICE: $250
CERTIFICATE of RECOGNITION: $1000 ($100 each for ten winners.)

ELIGIBILITY: This call for submission is open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in all traditional and non-traditional 2D and 3D media, including film/video when part of an installation.

SUBMISSIONS AND FEES: Only original works may be submitted. Works may be submitted in one or multiple media.
Early Bird Submissions (through midnight, March 8, 2016): $45 for up to three (3) images plus $5.00 for each additional image.
Submissions between March 9th and midnight March 22, 2016: $65 for up to three (3) images plus $5.00 for each additional image.
