The Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee Wildlife Refuge Artist-In-Residence partnership with Mississippi State University offers emerging and established artists the opportunity and workspace to research and create art set within the beautiful natural surroundings of Northeast Mississippi.
The residency provides artists with lodging at the Refuge as well as access to the MSU art facilities in which artists can experiment and develop their work and careers. Residents have the freedom to explore, interact and collaborate with native wildlife, Refuge staff, and local communities.
The program is currently looking for artists to spend 2 to 4 weeks at the Refuge during the spring, summer, and fall 2017 (dates are proposed by artist at time of application).
