Carlisle Arts Learning Center wishes to create and share with our community an exhibit deeply inspired by the right of justice and equality by all the peoples of our land. The preamble to the U. S. Constitution, while not a law upon itself, is a purposeful 52 words which is meant to guide the who, what, and why of the establishment of this great democracy. The Constitution belongs to “we the people” as does the responsibility of ensuring “a more perfect union” – these important points of the preamble recur in speeches by Susan B. Anthony, Ronald Reagan, John Lewis, Barack Obama and are considered in many Supreme Court Decisions.
CALC’s jury committee will carefully curate this exhibit to share many expressions of these ideas. While both hopeful and critical works will be accepted, we do not wish to share disrespectful views. The show is meant to be a source of enlightenment and encouragement from the creative community who are keen observers of the world they live in.
