The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase contemporary artworks that demonstrate excellence and innovation in still life and trompe l’oeil. Works in any medium (excluding photography) are encouraged. Juror: Dr. Tom Folk, author and independent curator. Total cash awards: $2,750. The John F. Peto Studio Museum is the restored home and studio of the renowned late-19th century still-life painter. The museum seeks to show how the work of John F. Peto continues to influence contemporary artists and how they interpret still life and trompe l’oeil in new ways.
