Call for entries – In-Habit: Practice and Place
Stone Quarry Hill Art Park announces a call for entries for an upcoming art exhibition, July 1–31, 2017 at their Winner Memorial Gallery in Cazenovia, New York. Open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories, 18 years of age or older. In-Habit: Practice and Place is a juried exhibition which invites artists to submit work which explores the concept and rituals associated with dwelling.
Artists working in all traditional and non-traditional 2D and 3D media except installation and performance art are encouraged to participate. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution. Please see the additional instructions below and submit entries to Stephen Brucker ([email protected]) $35 for three images, $5 for each additional image. The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2017 at midnight.

Eligibility and Restrictions : Artists creating original works of art within the last two years are encouraged to apply. If awarded, artwork must be suitable for installation and must not exceed 60” in any dimension. Two-dimensional works must not weigh more than 40 lbs., including frame and must be ready to hang with the appropriate attached hardware. Three-dimensional works weighing over 80 lbs. must have a base that can be rolled or composed of elements that can be easily moved. Digital and non-traditional media will be considered.

Entry :  All applications must be submitted via a SINGLE email with .pdf (artist statement and bio) and .jpeg or .png (photos) attachments.

Please submit the following:  Cover page with name, address, phone, email address, website, and artist bio.

Artist statement which specifically speaks about the work the artist intends to submit for this exhibition and how it relates to the exhibition title, Inhabit.

3-5 Images per entry. Please submit a list of images (include the title, size, medium and price)
Images must be .jpeg only.

Files should be saved with the following conventions: year of entry_artist last name_artist first name_Entry Title_medium_monthday of entry (Example: 2016_Smith_Michael_Untitled_oil on canvas_feb1).

Please pay $35 per entry (1-3 pieces) with $5 per additional entry using the PayPal button below (cart appears at the top of the page on the right) at the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park website.

Deadline:  The final deadline is May 31, 2017.  Entries must be submitted to Stephen Brucker via email at [email protected] by 11:59 PM EST on May 31, 2017.

Exhibition Terms:  Sales: All works in the show must be for sale. The gallery will take a 25 percent commission on all sales.  Sale price is determined by the artist.

Entry Fees: There is a $35.00 entry fee to submit one-three pieces of work. There is an additional fee of $5.00 for each additional artwork submitted.  Payments by credit card are required at the time of entry using PayPal to Stone Quarry Hill Art Park. (http://www.sqhap.org/national)

Image Use/ Copyrights:  Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process.  By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Stone Quarry Hill Art Park rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery website for promotional purposes only.  Stone Quarry Hill Art Park retains no copyrights to artist’s work.

Notification: Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than June 15, 2017.  Notification will be made via email.  All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email, if no email is provided, artists will be notified via phone or postal mail only if accepted to exhibit.

Privacy Policy: Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.)  is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database.  Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process.  All artist emails will be added to our future events announcement email list.  Artists who do not wish to be on the email list may unsubscribe when they receive their notification.
