Calling all artists! Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery in Las Vegas, Nevada invites you to submit your work for consideration in the upcoming juried art show entitled “Good News.” We’re seeking artwork that captures the positive and inspiring stories that uplift and encourage us in our daily lives.

We believe that art has the power to heal, inspire and bring joy to our world. That’s why we’re looking for pieces that highlight the beauty of life, the resilience of the human spirit, and the hope that surrounds us, even in difficult times.

The theme of “Good News” is broad, and we welcome submissions in most mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. We encourage you to submit pieces that celebrate the small triumphs, the acts of kindness, and the positive change that you witness in your community and beyond. The show will open August 4, 2023 at Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery in Las Vegas, Nevada. The deadline for submissions is June 16, 2023 by 11:59 pm PDT.

Work will be juried by Las Vegas artist Joseph Watson who will carefully review all submissions and select the most outstanding pieces to be displayed in the exhibition. If your work is chosen, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your art to a wider audience and to spread your message of hope and positivity.

More about juror Joseph Watson- Joseph Watson, also known from his signature “JOEE”, grew up in Gardena, CA. Art has been a creative escape for him ever since his youth. Watson’s work can be described as daily life driven by story, transformation and the decorative element. In 1998, he graduated with honors from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Watson owned “Joseph Watson Collection”, a Las Vegas art gallery, for 12 years. Joseph is widely known and respected for the range of his art, which includes fine art, illustration, children’s books and posters.

“Good News” Juried Show Submission Details Thank you for your interest in submitting your artwork to our juried art show “Good News”. To ensure a fair and organized selection process, we have outlined the following submission guidelines:

Eligibility: The juried art show is open to artists who are at least 18 years old and residing in the United States.
Theme: The theme for the juried art show is “Good News”. Please ensure that your artwork aligns with the theme.
Medium: We accept all forms of visual art, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and mixed media. We do not accept video, performance, or installation art.
Size limitations: 2-D can not exceed 36”x 24” and 3-D work can not exceed 36” x 36”.
Number of Entries: Each artist may submit up to three entries.
Entry Fee: There is a non-refundable entry fee of $30 for the first artwork submitted and $10 for each additional submission. Payment must be made at the time of submission.
Format: Images of artwork must be submitted in digital format, in high resolution (300 dpi) JPEG or PNG format. Maximum file size is 5MB.
Submission Deadline: The deadline for submissions is June 16, 2023 by 11:59 pm PDT.
Submission Process: Submissions must be made through our online submission platform via Jotforms. You will be prompted to create an account, pay the entry fee, and submit your artwork.
Notification: Artists will be notified via email of the selection results the week following the submission deadline.
Delivery of Selected Artwork: Selected artwork must be delivered to Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery by July 21, 2023, and must be ready to display or hang (2-D work must have D-Rings attached). Shipping of artwork to and from the gallery is the responsibility of the artist.
Sales: All artwork in the juried art show will be for sale, with a commission of 50% to be paid to the show organizers. Artists are responsible for setting their own prices.
Liability: While all possible care will be taken in handling the artwork, the show organizers and venue will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. Artists are encouraged to insure their artwork.
