Art and Fear: A National Juried Exhibition
The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri
Entry Deadline: Apr. 14
Being afraid, sometimes seemingly irrational, is an important dimension of our emotional lives. Everyone has something that scares them. Spiders, snakes, heights. But what about ablutophobia (fear of washing or bathing), or consecotaleophobia (fear of chopsticks)? Art & Fear beckons artists across the United States to submit work that explores the concept of fear, anxiety, and phobias. Fear is a fluctuating entity, and can mean different things to different people. The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri encourages the exploration and interpretation of this idea in a way that is uniquely distinct and personal to each artist.
