The 69th Annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair is a two-day, juried show featuring up to 190 fine artists. Staged in a shady, historic park in downtown Kalamazoo, the KIA Arts Fair is acclaimed for its friendly atmosphere and large crowds of arts patrons from across Michigan, Indiana, and beyond. The fair offers many artist amenities, awards 12 best-in-category prizes and is supported by far-reaching promotion measures attracting a crowd of upwards of 40,000 patrons. The fair spans two days (a Friday and a Saturday) that overlap with several well-established community activities and is promoted locally, regionally, and nationally. The KIA Arts Fair features many artist amenities such as free artist parking, a complimentary Friday evening artist dinner and award ceremony, complimentary coffee and light breakfast in the park Saturday morning, and an air-conditioned artist lounge with refreshments. This beloved community tradition helps to mark the beginning of summer in Kalamazoo and is eagerly anticipated by locals and visitors alike.

Proceeds from the fair support free-admission and education programming at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.
