Art Fair on the Square is not only among largest art fairs in the Midwest, it is one of the most highly ranked fine art shows by artists from across the country. Furthermore, Art Fair on the Square is the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art’s most important annual fundraiser, providing crucial support for exhibitions, art education, and programming. For two days each July the eight blocks that surround Wisconsin’s beautiful State Capitol are transformed as artists, entertainers, vendors, and nearly 200,000 visitors come together to celebrate the arts at this event.
