Artist Biography
I describe myself as a serious amatuer photographer having used a camera consistently for close to 50 years. Among the commercial accounts that I worked with early in my career are British Airways and Club Med.
I am currently represented by the Cate Charles Gallery (Stonington Ct.) and my images are also on Flickr
(www.flickr.com/photos/gscottphoto) and at Ct.Valley Camera Club, which I founded (ct.valleycameraclub.org)
I generally do not photograph landscapes, or take what may be described as snapshots, preferring to stage or catch situations
that are outside the expected and may require the viewer to pause in order to understand the image.
I follow countless artists in trying to capture the simple beauty of the female nude. More often represented than any other subject through history but when successfully achieved still capable of stirring interest in every human eye.
