The Milford Arts Council will be presenting a Children’s Book Illustrators Show, October 9-November 14, 2014. Illustrators are invited to submit Children’s Book Art. Work can be from published books and can also include illustration series as well as work that shows the “artistic process” which includes sketches, rough drafts and story boards. 3-4 pieces per artist will be accepted.
For consideration, please email high quality images to [email protected] by September 19, 2014. All entries will be notified with decisions. Receiving date upon acceptance: Thursday, October 2, 2014 10-12 PM and 4-6 PM. Artist entry fee upon acceptance $25.00. $5.00 off for MAC members. MAC individual membership $25, family membership $50. May join at time of art delivery.
Reception: Saturday, October 11, 2014 10-12 PM. Illustrators and Authors will be invited to attend Reception and meet visitors. They may also sell their books at Reception (No commission will taken from book sales).
Artist Eligibility:
All work must be original and submitted by the original artist.
Work cannot exceed 50lbs in weight or 24″ x 36″ in size.
All work must be framed and wired or ready to hang.
Work may be for sale, 30% commission goes to MAC.
No submissions accepted without prior email.
