Fresh Faces 2020 | Open Call for Student Artwork

Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is currently accepting entries for our 2nd annual student artwork exhibition, Fresh Faces. In this exhibition we are excited to show an array of new artwork by the Northeast’s most talented student artists. The gallery is seeking innovative artwork from undergraduate, graduate and recent graduate (within the past year) artists based in MA, RI, CT, ME, NH, VT & NY.

Eligibility

Must currently be enrolled in Undergraduate, MFA or Post-Baccalaureate program in MA, RI, CT, ME, NH, VT or NY.
Students who graduated within the past year are welcome to apply as well.
Artists who exhibited in Fresh Faces 2019 are not eligible to apply.

Guidelines

Each artist may submit up to 3 artworks. All works must be under 40 in. height x 40 in. width including the frame and ready to hang. Works on paper must be framed and ready to hang. Sculpture must not exceed 50 lbs. and must be under 40 in. height x 40 in. width. Video work submission must include installation equipment. Proposals must be conceptually rigorous and focus on projects and themes that are innovative and engaging.

Extra consideration will be given to artwork that clearly demonstrate a unique and creative approach, as well as those that present ideas or topics that are not well-represented.

Deadline to submit: by midnight December 15th
Exhibition Dates: January 30 – March 8, 2020

Application Fee before or on 12/1 : $15
Application Fee after 12/1: $25
All submissions are considered final and non-refundable. Abigail Ogilvy Gallery takes a 40% commission on works sold in this exhibition. The artist is responsible for arranging all shipping logistics and associated costs.
