The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to our upcoming exhibitions showcasing the work of artists Jordan Scott and Marshall Svendsen.

In his exhibition VORTEX SERIES, Jordan Scott uses cancelled stamps as his primary medium. Each of the small stamps represent an unknown story of the expanded web that it was once connected.

In his newest exhibition, MARSHALL SVENDSEN will display a body of work that focuses on the combination of hand-sculpted objects referencing memories, molds taken from his environment (pieces of the building he works in, objects that are functional byproducts of his studio practice, things he discovers in his travels), and the philosophical examination of the mold making & bronze casting process itself.

Both exhibitions will be held in second floor galleries of the Art Center. A joint opening reception will take place on Sunday, October 6 from 1 – 4pm and will be free and open to the public.
