Gallery 66 NY presents Carla Goldberg- Wave Over Wave in Gallery A, Josa Smith Weatherwax –Disorder and Romance in Gallery B, Richard Cutrona- Formal Tension in Gallery C. Opening Reception First Friday June 2nd from 6-9 p.m. Carla Goldberg’s artwork is about the residual memory and calming forces of water. Wave Over Wave incorporates the graceful and elegant French S Curves of antiquity as inspiration for her abstracted waves. Josa (Smith) Weatherwax investigates the disorder and the romance of life by creating work that is both beautiful and visually surprising. A loved one’s fight with Parkinson’s has given a new perspective on the beauty in the jumble of twisted and writhing appendages in nature. Richard Cutrona’s recent body of work ͞Formal Tension͟, questions the boundaries of human tribalism. The images explore the intersection of Islamic Decorative Art & Architecture, a creative influence of his for more than a decade.
