“OutDesign” is a juried exhibit focusing on the art of design. This exhibition welcomes designers across all mediums including but not limited to architecture, fashion, graphic, submit their work.

Architect Jason Holtman, Art Director Ben Parent and Graphic Designer Juanita Austin will jury “OutDesign”. Jason Holtzman is an internationally known architect who has been working with the innovative of “green” sustainable design professionally since 1993. His projects are known nationally from L.A. to New York and his design will also be utilized for the construction of Hygienic Art Park’s new amphitheater project. Ben Parent has over 25 years of experience in design and communications and currently serves as Art Director for Connecticut College, where he has been employed since 2006. Parent, a valued Hygienic Board Member, also runs his own promotion label “Good Sponge” and has been involved in the New London music and arts scene since the early 1990’s. Juanita Austin is an independent Digital Media Specialist who in addition to working with Hygienic Art as Gallery Associate serves on several local grass-roots arts initiatives including the “Festival of Creativity and Innovation”.

The opening reception will be Saturday, March 25 from 7—10. The show will run through Saturday, April 22.
