Deadline for Submissions: December 15
Notification of Selection: January 14
First Residency: February 1-June 30
Second Residency: July 15-December 15
Residency duration: 5 months

The artist will be provided with 24 hour access to a private enclosed studio (227 square feet) at the Novato Arts Center in Novato, CA. Studio is equipped with lighting, heat, table and chair, as well as access to on-site kiln, and larger classroom space as available. Studios are non-smoking, no pets allowed.

This is a live-out residency, meaning housing is not provided. For this reason, selected artists must live within driving distance of MarinMOCA. The artist will be surrounded by 50 artists who provide an atmosphere of friendly and inspiring artistic dialogue. Stipend provided. All other costs for material or travel will be covered by the artist.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Artist selection will be made from among applicants 21 years and older who are committed career artists and would benefit from a short, intensive in-studio residency. The Artist must live within driving distance of The Novato Arts Center and show particular artistic promise and dedication.

FEES:
$40 application fee ($35 MarinMOCA members)
