Distinct among artistic media, printmaking presents the artist, viewer and broader society with a most medium-specific poetics. This August, the Pacific Art League will mount an exhibition of contemporary prints by Bay Area artists working in relief, intaglio, planographic, and stencil processes.

The submission deadline is Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:59 pm.

Submission & Eligibility

Note: Please submit individual submission forms for each artwork you are entering. For additional entries at the $10 level, you will receive the link in the confirmation of your first submission.

PAL members and non-members are encouraged to submit work in any medium. Works are not to exceed 40 inches in any dimension without prior approval by the gallery manager.

Submit your artwork electronically using the form below. Members: $40 for first entry, $10 for each additional entry. Non-members: $50 for first entry, $10 for each additional entry.

Members wishing to redeem your free entries: email the gallery manager to get the free submissions link for this exhibition.

Mark Your Calendar

The submission deadline is Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:59 pm.

Artists will be notified of acceptance status via email on Friday, July 8.

Accepted works must be dropped off on Friday, July 29 or Saturday, July 30 from 10 am – 4 pm. All work must be hand-delivered to the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto at 668 Ramona Street. No shipped work will be accepted.

Pacific Prints will be on view August 5-25, 2016. *Note: This is a four-week show.

Our opening reception and award announcements will be on the First Friday, August 5, 5:30 – 8 pm.

Exhibited works must be picked up on Friday, August 26 or Saturday, August 27 from 10 am – 4 pm.

Juror

Awards

1st: $250 2nd: $125 3rd: $75, 3 Honorable Mentions

Guidelines

Artworks must be original and not previously exhibited at the Pacific Art League.

All work must be framed and ready to hang on a wire.

Exhibiting artists must complete an Exhibition Agreement & Release from Liability.

If you are unable to make the drop-off or pick-up dates, please make arrangements with the gallery for someone to come on your behalf.

Sales

All work must be for sale. Members receive 70% of sale price. Non-members receive 60% of sale price.
