Overview
108|Contemporary announces a Call for Entries for VisionMakers 2016, our signature juried exhibition for Oklahoma and Regional artists working in 2- and 3-dimensional fine craft. The purpose is to spotlight and reward excellence by Oklahoma and Regional fine craft artists. The exhibition will be held at 108|Contemporary, a beautiful gallery space in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District, from October 7 – November 19, 2016.

Eligibility
The exhibition is open to individuals 18 years and older who reside in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas and are not degree-seeking art students. Media is limited to 2- and 3-dimensional fine craft arts, such as, but not limited to: glass, fiber, metal, ceramics and wood. Installation work is encouraged. Work must be original, completed in the last 2 years and not produced while an art student. Must be the same work as submitted image.

Guest Juror
Namita Wiggers is a curator, writer, and museum consultant who combines her experience and training as an art historian, museum educator, ethnographer and design researcher, teacher, writer, and studio art jeweler. She is the former Director and Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland, Oregon, and she is co-founder of the Critical Craft Forum. Wiggers considers how craft and design function as simultaneously distinct and intersecting practices, and how the exhibition operates as a site and space for cultural inquiry. She serves on the Board of Trustees, American Craft Council and on the curatorial board of accessCeramics.
