The Price Tower Arts Center presents Frank Lloyd Wright’s Samara: A Mid-Century Dream Home a compelling look at the work and life of America’s first modern architect.

A story of presentation, the exhibition offers original objects and furniture, architectural fragments, rare archival materials, historic photographs, and video footage of Frank Lloyd Wright. The curator explores the origins of a Wright building through a client who first considered in 1920 the Usonian house; an abbreviation for “United States of North America”

His construction of the homes was meant to be a modest-sized, environmentally sensitive dwelling affordable to middle class. To John and Kay Christian, this meant creating a basic home to Wright’s specifications.
